What happens when to take the human drama and terrible excitement of soldiers at war, and then you throw in the artistic genius of such comic greats as:

Joe Maneely – John Severin – Gene Colan – Dave Berg – Bob Powell – Syd Shores – Bob Forgione – Russ Heath – Joe Kubert – and Joe Sinnott ???

The answer is an amazing collection that simply cannot be beaten, just as the Marines themselves cannot be beaten! War is Hell, but the ability to read these stories in a 200-page collection is comic heaven!

This collection contains six thrilling issues of Atlas' MARINES IN BATTLE – a group of books that fell into the public domain and ended up on the radar of Gwandanaland Comics --- and once it gets on our radar – BOOM!

This Book: Issues #6-11 – Also available in hardcover and in economical black & white versions!

Combat Kelly Treasury: Volume 2: Gwandanaland Comics #3198 -- Get Into The Thick of Battle With Combat Kelly! Featuring Dave Berg artwork!

Billede

fra amazon.com:
GET INTO THE THICK OF BATTLE WITH

COMBAT KELLY!

There's no “down time” in these stories! Panel to panel it almost non-stop action as COMBAT KELLY and his guys fight it out in Korea! You never saw so many KA-BLAMS in one book – and all masterfully done by artists like Joe Maneely, Dave Berg and Carl Burgos. The COMBAT KELLY series is public domain from #4-44, and however that may have come about, we're not about to let it go unnoticed. This second book contains #11-17, mostly Dave Berg, and of all the battle-action you can fit in a comic!

Good girl tegneren Matt Baker i denne nye bog fra Gwandanaland.

Billede

Golden Age Dr. Heroes: Gwandanaland Comics #136/837-HC: Dr. Occult: The Complete More Fun Comics Stories / The Complete Dr. Nemesis

fra amazon.com:
DR. OCCULT is in many ways the epitome of comic history. He was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster (under the pen names Leger and Reuths), three years before they brought us Superman. DR.OCCULT is also claimed by many to be the first costumed hero in the Golden Age of Comics. And to top it off, since he is still used as a character today, he is one of the longest running character concepts in comics, with a history that stretches back well over 83 years! For reasons we may never know, National Periodical Publications failed to renew the copyrights of the first few dozen issues of New Fun / More Fun Comics. While good quality copies of this iconic series are rare and expensive, Gwandanaland Comics is proud to bring you the complete MORE FUN COMICS run of DR. OCCULT stories, including his first appearance! – an exciting look back into comic history!

Includes his appearance in The Comics Magazine #1 (as Dr. Mystic)!

NOTE: Because of the rarity of good material, this is a “something is better than nothing” situation. Some stories are taken from low-resolution microfiche and required alteration. We will constantly work to upgrade our books; in the meantime, we hope you can appreciate this first-ever print collection of this early Golden Age series.

“Young Dr. Jim Bradley, hospital intern, has discovered a truth serum which when injected into a person causes them to tell the absolute truth to any questions asked. When the effects of the serum wear off shortly afterwards, the patient does not remember the interlude. Fearing that the truth serum with get into criminal hands and be misused, Dr, Bradley keeps the serum a secret, but he uses the serum as a weapon when he goes forth incognito, as DR. NEMESIS, to fight the forces of evil!”

Intern by day, crimefighter by night, DR NEMESIS is a hero who is not afraid to “stick it” to the criminals – and Gwandanaland Comics has the only complete collection of his adventures in print – from Lightning Comics and Super-Mystery Comics!

Billede

Torchy - Volume 1: Gwandanaland Comics #195-HC: From Military and Modern Comics

fra amazon.com:
There's a lot you can say about Torchy Todd: she's beautiful, she's.....well, she's beautiful. Never known for her smarts (although she always managed to outsmart the men chasing her) Torchy tempted and teased for many years of the Golden Age of Comics and beyond. No one beat Torchy for pure, don't-let-your-mother-see-this-book comic fun! We have all her stories for you in two great books – no filler, no back-up stories, nothing but the character you want to read about!

This book contains all the TORCHY stories from Modern Comics #53-102. The first 37 stories are drawn by her creator and driving force, Bill Ward. Starting with issue #90 Gill Fox more-than-ably brought his own style and creative energy to this iconic character. The page are not all pretty – these stories show their age, but they are still a great read!
